Job description
To strengthen the ICT organisation, we are currently looking for an innovative, ambitious and international ICT Director, who will be based in South Nantes area, France.

As the ICT Director it is your mission to lead, organize and develop the European ICT organisation. You define and share a clear vision, organizing and developing computing and information technology strategic plans. This contains policies, programs and schedules for business and data processing, computer services, network communications and management information services. The objective is to accomplish the corporate goals of the Dorel Europe organisation.



Desired Skills and Experience
Further define and communicate a clear vision for the ICT organisation, to set up strategies for the organisation and being responsible for the implementation and achievements, responsive to the needs of the company’s growth and objectives
Develop the ICT strategy and team to meet the fast evolving business needs driven by new online media (websites, e-commerce, e-sales and CRM)
Complete the implementation of the European ERP solution (Infor M3) and related applications and drive optimization of this ERP in the future
Leading and further developing the ICT organization to support and to meet the business requirements
Adopt the best ICT methods, technologies and solutions for Dorel to stay ahead and keep the company ahead of the curve
Support the organisation by developing ICT tools, systems and services to become a consumer centric company
Set up highly efficient and common work processes & procedures (ITIL methodology) – champions the benefits of technology solutions and process improvements in achieving higher levels of business performance
Building a proper and efficient internal communication structure to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths for the individual employees
Manage, provide direction, guidance and support the overall business relationships e.g. with the global ICT lead. Manage relationships with business leaders across the organisation and manage a strong stakeholder’s communication structure within the organisation to obtain feedback

In this position you report directly to the President & CEO and you will be a member of the Board of Dorel Europe; the Executive Committee. The current ICT organisation consists of a group of 32 employees in total, based on 2 sites of our competence centre, in Helmond (The Netherlands) and Cholet (France). The line managers, being responsible for IT (infrastructure) and IS (information systems) and the Support Service Manager (Service Desk), all report directly to the ICT Director.
Your profile
Master degree in Information Systems, Engineering or related area
Minimum of 15 years of working experience in the ICT field
Beyond that it is a requirement to have at minimum 5 – 7 years of managerial experience and a proven track-record, obtained in a similar senior management position (board level), in a multinational, multi-entity and matrix organization
Experience with working in a group company environment and matrix organization where some strategy is defined by layers above
Experience and ability to handle complex projects and large workload demands e.g. e-commerce/e-business applications, ERP implementations and/or IT infrastructure and managing a multi-site ICT function
Ability to successfully align stakeholders and business leaders with the company ICT strategy and targets
Strong influencing skills to champion innovation and change at board level
Excellent communication and people management skills, able to work across multiple disciplines and to build up high performing teams
Proficient in spoken and written English and French.
